Review of It's Alive III: Island of the Alive (1987) by J K — 05 Oct 2007
The Alive trilogy is a pretty interesting one, even if the third movie was pretty unnecessary. The first one is especially impressive for its take on fatherhood and having to deal with an estranged child (for various reasons). Mr. Clark also has the good idea of never really showing the child until the very end, adding to the suspense. The sound effects get the job done so much better than the cheap prop would have. The lead actor's performance must also be commended.
Eegah is probably the best MST3K movie out there along with Manos. It's non-stop funny and the actual movie is interesting in its own goofy way.
CHUD was awesome. How can people not like this movie? It's got zombies, gore and ugly-ass sewer lurking monsters.
