Review of It's a Wonderful Life (1946) by Brad G — 26 Dec 2011
It is impossible to imagine the character of George Bailey being played by anyone other than James Stewart. Stewart encapsulates and demonstrates the moral principles and the personal sacrifices of Bailey in such an endearing manner that when he reaches his low-point we, the audience, don't just empathise, we believe that a friend is in trouble.
I'm not sure if a more perfect film has ever been made, certainly on an emotional level.
