Review of It's a Wonderful Life (1946) by Janice P — 28 Jul 2014
...i finally got to see the much lauded Frank Capra's "It's A Wonderful Life" (1946) last night. I wish I had seen it much sooner because now I see why this film is being touted as one of the best masterpieces ever made in the history of cinema.
albeit the seemingly simplistic premise, the film resonates with so much meaning that really carries itself through the ages. I also loved how capra sequenced the events, building up to a really beautiful climax.
it truly is the embodiment of a 'classic,' and maybe it's nostalgia kicking in, but this film made me miss my grandfather so much. I wish we had seen this together. :).
