Review of Italian for Beginners (2000) by Patricia C — 21 Jun 2008
I must say, I am a little biased toward the Dogme films - they all seem to characterise a human element that lacks in most other films. Unafraid to show the gamet of humanity, Scherfig takes our fears and strongest emotions, distills them into characters and lets us watch the show.
Powerful, raw and beautiful, truly a film to crack one's surface.
