Review of It Might Get Loud (2008) by Lenard W — 09 Oct 2009
A documentary about the electric guitar that is really about the salvation of rock n roll. From the economic turmoil of 60s London, the violence of 70s Ireland, or the social turmoil of 80s Detroit, a love of music saved these three talented guitarists.
The documentary also serves as a oral history. Led Zeppelin revolutionized rock in the late 60s and 70s. When Bonzo died and Led Zeppelin became no more, U2 took over the mantle of rock balladeers until a stretch in the 90s when they lost their way and the White Stripes returned rock to its roots in early Americana and blues.
