Review of It Might Get Loud (2008) by Adam L — 16 Dec 2009
Highly enjoyable documentary littered with great tales and plenty of masterful musical moments with the stand out being Jack Whiteâ??s look of pure joy and deep emotion as Jimmy Page plays â??Whole Lotta Loveâ??.
The three all come across well, Jimmy does look understandably a little world worn but seems to be enjoying myself especially during the jam sessions, Jack grabs his screen time by the throat and comes over genuinely in love with music and the moments it creates, oh and The Edge is there too. Edge seems a nice enough bloke and his stories are easy to listen too but heâ??s clearly out of his depth musically as demonstrated when the three jam to â??In My Time of Dyingâ?? with Jack riffing superbly off Jimmy as Edge just does a few slides and a goofy smile.
An easy recommend to any fan of guitar music.
