I thought there would be no better rock documentary then Anvil: The Story of Anvil this year. Well to my surprise It Might Get Loud came along. What a one of a kind and exciting project this is. Having three of the most interesting and important guitarist in rock together in a room to talk about their craft was completely fascinating.

Seeing these men together was like seeing craftsmen exchanging techniques and secrets with one another about their style. On that level it was completely interesting but the film also paints equally interesting portraits of each of the men.

You see how The Edge got his sound, you see how Jack White went from drummer to guitarist and you see how Jimmy Page went from session musician to a rock god. These men's stories are all really compelling and the film is very informative.

I learned a few nice facts that I never knew about all of them. By the end of the film I wanted more. I not only loved the music of the film but by the end of the film I liked all three of the men. I could watch them talk and play music all day I think.

Great film, I can't wait to see it again.
