I enjoyed this little treat very much. It's as much about artistic inspiration as it is about the guitar. It was a brilliant idea to get the 3 musicians from different eras and not only because of their age differences.

They are completely in opposition of one another in their playing styles. You have the Edge from U2 who is heavy on technique and effects while Jack White is as raw as they come prefering the most bare bones sound he can muster.

Obviously Jimmy Page dwarfs them both without ever coming across as hollier than thou. I loved the way they connected in this movie. It was pure respect and admiration that you just aren't used to seeing (Especially with many of the ego-maniac pop-tarts that pass as music today).

I am a huge fan of Jack White as it is. I also dig U2 alot of the time but this gave me an all new level of respect for The Edge. Probably the best single moment of the film for me was watching Page slap on some old vinyl and the pure enjoyment that you can see on his face from listening to it.

It's easy to assume where the greats get their inspiration from but actually seeing it is a thing of beauty. I felt really good about being a musician and an artist.
