Review of It Might Get Loud (2008) by Gunter V — 27 Apr 2010
It sounds like the beginning of a joke. Jimmy Page, The Edge, and Jack White are sitting in a living room talking about rock and roll. This doc is very good. Jimmy Page is still cooler than you at the age of 70.
The Edge, who I really couldn't care for prior to seeing this, shows how much emotion and time goes into the music he makes. By the time they start the intro of "The Streets Have No Names" I was almost in tears.
And then there's Jack White. The dude creates a guitar from two pieces of wood, a coke bottle, and some wire. He comes off pretentious but when he plays that guitar he's allowed to be as pretentious as he wants.
Definitely check this one out and have those speakers up loud.
