Review of It Might Get Loud (2008) by Saadullah S — 07 Jul 2010
To quote Rolling Stone's Peter Travers... "Does this sound like rock heaven? It is." This documentary is a tribute to rock's most distinctive instrument, the electric guitar. It is highly insightful on what made the music of these three legends what it is and it is just great to see these three talk about their musical upbringings and eventually rocking out to some of their own songs teaching each other how to play them.
It is a really well made rock doc that stands high on my list along with No Direction Home, Woodstock, The Last Waltz, Don't Look Back, Gimme Shelter and Wattstax as one of the best rock docs made.
If you're a fan of any of these three bands like I am, you will highly appreciate this documentary. 10/10.
