Review of It Happened One Night (1958) by Tony P — 28 Nov 2018
Probably the fluffiest Best Picture winner I've ever seen. The only thing gritty about it is Capra's intense hatred of wealth being put out front and center. I liked how the Gable character shows the Colbert character how the other side lives, and it kinda speaks to how those in Hollywood don't really understand our struggles.
It's a cute little love story with good acting, but it is hardly worthy of a best picture win.
