Review of It Happened One Night (1958) by Adam Z — 18 Dec 2008
In a plot very similar to that of Roman Holiday, a newspaper man played by Gable encounters the story of his life when he comes across a runaway heiress played by Colbert. This movie doesn't take quite such a sentimental approach, but both actor pull of the gritty attitudes idealized in the thirties admirably well.
It's rare that I can watch this type of character portrayal and not be annoyed but this is definitely an exception.
