Review of It Happened One Night (1934) by Lindsey T — 18 Apr 2008
I didn't find this movie very funny. And there was a huge lack of score, which always makes a film less enjoyable for me. I am in love with Clark Gable, but I've never been much of a Colbert fan.
She seems to rough to me. She didn't want this role, and in my opinion she was miscast in it. There some funny moments and the end is the cute-est of cute. But, unfortunatly, it is not Capra's best.
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and It's A Wonderful Life are far more interesting. This is a solid film, but not worth all the hype.
