Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Dashtag — 19 Jun 2017
This movie is not what I expected it to be. The title "It Comes At Night" doesn't necessarily mean that there is a monster that is present in the night time, it can mean many things. The director likes long takes that make it intense, and the camera work is amazing.
I really enjoyed this movie, because it was intense and mysterious, not all jumpy in your face. When the credits roll, you think about what the movie could have been telling you, and all the unanswered questions.
So many things unanswered in this film that could have changed the whole movie and sent it down a different path, yet some things are better unknown. I like the editing style of this movie, and the way that we follow through a characters' eyes.
This film isn't for everyone, because I can tell I was the only one in the theater who enjoyed it. Highly recommended, this movie is creepy and interesting. Well thought out. Full review on dashtagmania.
