Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Laschai — 10 Jun 2017
Great beginning, downhill from there. At first, this movie shows signs of brilliance. In the first half of the film, tension is created brilliantly and all is going well. Then, it turns. Around the halfway point things go downhill, all the way down to an ending that left the entire movie theater audibly upset.
When they flashed to credits, there was a chorus of "what?!" "really?!" "are you kidding me?!". Some people even wanted their money back. It seems the creators didn't know what they wanted to say for the second half, and used their money to pay off movie critics instead of make the movie better.
It seems that they thought they could pull something off, which could've been done well by other creators admittedly, but they were simply not good enough to do it.
