Seriously one of the worst horror movies I’ve ever seen in my life. Think like The Village meets The Happening, but it somehow manages to be worse than both of those movies.

It doesn’t know what it’s doing and this is clear from the very beginning. I started off the movie with questions, but I figured along the way or at least by the end they’d be answered, but nope, never were, all I got along the way were more questions. It doesn’t know what genre it wants to be. As the title and trailer imply, this is supposed to be a horror film, but it never feels like it. I get it, horror is kinda a misunderstood genre and some of them may not be scary but this in no way ever feels even remotely horror. My sister described it as a “pilgrim western.” While that descrip is kinda funny, I have to say I kinda agree. The characters have no development so therefore we’re left with no choice but to not care for any of the characters here or whether or not they live or die. To me this is the main flaw here because a movie focusing on characters must have good character development! Instead they’re one-dimensional, unrelatable, and you feel distant from them. I guess it’s all just because this is a film equivalent of a flatline. There’s no beginning or end to the film, it’s just a constant hum til the end. You can see the ending coming from a mile away from the dream sequences. Idk. I can’t really recommend this. It’s worse than most b-grade horror movies (because they at least add in unintentional humor). It’s also among my least favorite movies ever made.

Just a lot of nothing happens here and it’s nothing but a boring waste of time and you leave knowing just as much as you did coming into the movie: nothing.
