Despite being slow, predictable, and boring, I still gave this movie two stars because the acting was phenomenal. Some of the cinematography was excellent, as well.
Critics are praising this movie for it's artsy factor. This is definitely a case of style over substance. You won't be afraid in this movie. You won't have a sense of impending dread. You will struggle to stay awake. It just doesn't scare you. I thought about walking out many times throughout the movie and at the abrupt ending, I wished I would have. I kept thinking it would get started. It never did.
