Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Julian V — 06 Sep 2017
Depressing. Moody. A very curious if not downright antisocial message: leave humanity behind to ensure the survival of the human race. Not a horror film per se, but the dreariness you feel almost all throughout its running time - save for a few sunny minutes - will leave you breathless.
Another example of non-mainstream cinema vying to reach - to no avail - mass audiences conditioned on ill-conceived expectations.
