Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Dylan M — 22 Jun 2017
Im torn on how to rate this movie. On one hand, it is very well crafted. The cinematography, the score, the acting, all great. It does a masterful job of building suspense and paranoia. But I can't get over how misleading the marketing was.
It is nothing like the movie the trailer showed. The trailer promised a tense thriller about something being dangerous outside, and instead, we get a movie about paranoia and mistrust. The movie was maybe a bit too vague, leaving pretty much every question it asks unanswered.
