While I can appreciate the fine acting skills and directing, and this is a good looking film, I found the "scare" factor wanting. I wanted o know more... why did the clown do this, what was the point of the floaters, what happened to all the floaters afterwards.
... lots of unanswered questions for me. Every 27 years... why??/ See more questions... maybe I fell asleep through the film and missed some key points. But for me the chubby boy steals the show. Poignant performance.
Directing that reminded me of how Stephen Spielberg captures childhood so well. So thumbs up to that.
