Review of It (2017) by Brandon R — 16 Sep 2017
This filmmaker has some guts. Considering that this is a worldwide release I was expecting kid-friendly, middle of the road horror but no sir. The imagery in this film is extremely disturbing, assaulting the audience early and often.
Aside from running about 20 minutes too long this film is executed about as perfectly as fans could have hoped for. The art direction is outstanding and the young actors give nuanced, emotionally powerful performances.
IT is among the very best adaptations of King's work.
