Review of It (2017) by Donald N — 08 Sep 2017
While it wasn't the scariest IT was exactly what I expected IT to be which was IT. The beginning was spot on except the search to find my brother plot. The CGI effects were pretty much meh and the losers stories then facing Pennywise felt rushed.
Wish they dug deeper into the fears of the charecters. I didn't go to IT to be scared I went to see a story brought to life with justice done to it minus the horrific gang bang and I got that. The actors were great but I wish Henry Bowers arc wasn't changed and that Patrick got the book death.
I felt like IT was well IT a mixture of all genres horror, comedy and fantasy. Alot like Stand By Me meets The Goonies with a clown. I wasn't scared at all and enjoyed the overall 2 hours. I was expecting IT to be nothing like the book and I'm happy they put in what they did and the Easter eggs included.
If your a fan of Stephen King and you want to see a great movie check IT out.
