Review of Isle of Dogs (2018) by Jeff T — 16 May 2018
I have to be honest, I needed a break from life for a minute and went to see this film. I went in totally cold, not knowing really anything about it. I'm definitely a Wes Anderson fan, but I have no idea what this movie was.
It's beautiful to look at and captivating in that way, but it's so absurd, I just don't even know what to think. The story itself just wasn't compelling and I had no real feelings about the characters by the end.
It didn't emotionally-invest me in any way. But, it was beautiful to look at.
