Review of Isle of Dogs (2018) by Patricia G — 30 Mar 2018
Inventive. Often witty. Sometimes moving. Runs out of steam halfway through and its depiction of 'girlie' female dogs whose main purpose and ultimate goal is to have puppies in a monogamous relationship [like dogs don't do] is surprisingly reactionary.
An indulgently white male film with all the cultural problems others have already described.
