Review of Is It Just Me? (2010) by Roxanne R — 09 Jun 2012
Cute and enjoyable film about searching and finding love in the emptiness of Los Angeles. Two unlikely roommates Blaine (Nicholas Downs) and Cameron (Adam Huss) live in West Hollywood. Blaine is the hopeless romantic, sweet, smart, down to earth who finds the bars devoid of any potential long lasting relationships.
Cameron, his roommate, is a happy go lucky, promiscuous man who is an actor and also a go-go dancer at one of the WeHo bars. Blaine starts chatting with a guy online named Xander (David Loren), starting a virtual relationship.
When they decide to meet for coffee, Blaine finds out he has been chatting with Xander under his roommate's profile. But in the city of Angels where perfect bodies and beautiful faces reign supreme, can Blaine explain Xander the misunderstanding and win him over? You have to watch and find out but for all the hopeless single romantics out there (straight or gay) I think this film will resonate with you.
