Review of Irreversible (2002) by Luke N — 15 Jul 2010
The film itself feels like one, dark and dingy roller-coaster ride, and unlike roller coasters I really liked this film. I'll admit I was lured into watching Irreversible by the promise of a very disturbing hour and a half, but what I got instead was an intensely sad piece of film.
Please don't and I repeat DO NOT be scared away from Irreversible because of tales of people walking out over the infamous rape scene (which is really no more than a storm in a teacup)or the nauseating effect of watching the film, in fact what are you doing reading this? Go and watch it if you haven't yet, and if you have, go watch it again, I know I will once I recover from my initial viewing.
