Review of Irreversible (2002) by Ian H — 13 Aug 2017
This is a truly excellent film. It functions off of kind of a cheap gimmick, which is to front-load the denouement and then treat you to a relatively tranquil final segment. It is noteworthy for scenes of gratuitous violence that are truly breathtaking feats of cinema history.
It is slightly traumatic to witness them, but if you're excited by that kind of thing it's hard to beat this film.
