Review of Irreversible (2002) by House M — 16 Mar 2012
One of the best works of Gaspar Noe until now, with Enter the Void and Seul contre tous, it's underrated because of the 9 min shocking rape scene (played by Bellucci). The controversial nature of Noe's dark raw experimental work is at it's paroxysm in this film.
Heavy but should be seen, the film touches the personal beliefs of the spectator. It's not as hard as Pasolini's Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma in the psychological twisted side.
