Review of Irrational Man (2015) by John C — 07 Aug 2015
This is the quintessential mediocre Woody which is a hell of a lot better than most of the movies foisted on us so far this year. Think of it as Crime & Punishment meets Crimes and Misdemeanors in Rhode Island.
Joaquin Phoenix is really well suited for the part of the angst ridden Philosophy prof with many issues. Good to see Parker Posey again but not so much Emma Stone who is miscast for her role. Better dialogue would have upped my rating however Newport looked nice.
(8-8-15).
