What to say about this? I really like Cox and Purefoy - but this was a chore to get through in all honesty. Bits of it seemed like Saving Private Robin Hood. Other bits were much worse. The fight scenes were acceptable, but the gore ranged from on a par with Frank Darabont's The Mist to Mortal Combat on the Sega Megadrive.
Some great Hammy acting, but ultimately nobody's gonna get emotionally stirred by the story being told. Daft and went on too long. Though Giamatti's rant toward the end is entertaining.
