Medieval action film about the siege on Rochester castle. Surprisingly gory film with body parts flying in the heat of the battle. Purefoy looks the part and Giamatti goes OTT (on purpose) as the vengeful King John.
The real rebellion consisted of hundreds of men but here we're down to a more heroic seven who defy Danish mercenaries. Average medieval action for the fans of this genre.
