Review of Iron Man 3 (2013) by Callumjsouth — 13 Dec 2014
I find solace when I look back on the first Iron Man film. However the same cannot be said for Iron Man 3. It is slick and humorous as you'd expect, but the third instalment is too hung up on a serious threat and less so on the potential of the loveable protagonist.
The first film saw progression in Tony Stark's character and the second introduced a villain of interest. The third finds it hard to add anything interesting to the franchise and that is the main issue.
The story is far too cataclysmic for my liking and makes for a humble ending to the trilogy.
