Review of Iron Man (2008) by Sam N — 21 Feb 2018
Back when origin stories were still rather fresh circa 2008, the first Iron Man was quite a treat during its theatrical release. The action is not what makes the film - I found the action to be very pedestrian to be honest - but rather it's the sharp wit and charisma of Robert Downey Jr.
's depiction of the arrogant yet humbled billionaire, Tony Stark. It's Downey's performance along with the on-screen ingenuity of creating the Iron Man suit, is what makes this film great.
