Review of Iron Man 2 (2010) by Diyar G — 26 Apr 2016
Not exactly sure what went wrong here, the studio had a good formula for the first iron man and they seemed to have a plan for this film, however they try to setup for the Avengers film while at the same time creating an independent story and the casting of Rourke, another actor whom like Downey has had a rough past, was a bad desicion.
I feel like Disney may have had something to do with this. This film has all the same issues from the first movie, Paltrow is dryer than a nun's cocktail, and the villain was weak as well as a poor score, along with new ones, poor plot development and cringeworthy Downey moments.
The movies saving pros are Johanssen and Cheadle (who is a much better Rhodes), and the awesome climactic battle. Bonus points for Rockwell who was hilarious.
