Review of Iron Man 2 (2010) by Brandon W — 28 Apr 2015
Iron Man 2 is a worthy sequel that is sadly not as Amazon as the first movie. Robert Downey Jr. is still charismatic as always in these types of films, and Don Cheadle, who replaced Terrence Howard in the first film, is a great replacement.
Mickey Rourke plays the villain very well, and Sam Rockwell is having some fun in this. The effects are great to look at, and the chemistry between Pepper and Stark is absolutely enjoyable, really funny, and is the best part of the movie.
The fight scenes are good, but they were really short that you just wanted to see more of it, especially the final fight which lasted like less than 5 minutes and just turned out to be disappointing final battle.
The plot is not as dark, or good, as the first movie and some scenes reminded me of the first film again, but it cm does try to make it different which works for the most part. It's still as funny as the original Iron Man movie, and it keeps you interested still.
Iron Man 2 falls into the category of sequels not as good as the first movie, but it never felt pointless to me and it generate a lot of thrills to keep me entertained.
