Review of Iron Man (1951) by Eric P — 16 Apr 2015

So Age of ultron is out next week and that means time to look back before going forward.

This is where it all started and its just classy superhero fun. Top drawer stuff. Downey Jr is the greatest modern day superhero icon....like how reeves was back in his superhero day. Marvel trumps every other blockbuster because its the best F word there is....Fun.

The downsides are the origin story is always a slow one but atleast we havent seen it onscreen before. The villain is rather weak but its The Dude so it doesnt matter much. It holds up better and better the more you watch it and laid the groundworks for a whole cinematic landscape that is to now what star wars was in the 70s. Mindblowing entertainment that is just addictively enjoyable.
