Review of Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers (2006) by Bill D — 31 Mar 2008
Details how the government is getting ripped off by groups like Halliburton, the awful conditions for soldiers in Iraq, particularly due to cost cutting and other ways to charge or retain more money by contractors.
Tainted bathing and drinking water, $100/bag (taxpayer paid) mandatory laundry service for soldiers that returns dirtier than when it was put in, running trucks totally empty and charging the taxpayers for it.
It's impossible NOT to be irate at things like this. On the other hand, with propaganda pieces like this, there's zero way for someone like me to know the whole story and if this story is presented in an unfair light.
I can't see how things like this AREN'T happening, but are they exception rather than the rule? I don't know. If ou want another reason to be pissed at the government and private contractors, watch this movie.
It's not over-the-top, it seems to portray things factually and not try to shock or scare the viewer.. but how do you tell what the whole truth is with something like this?
