Review of I.Q. (1994) by Victor L — 02 Nov 2010
Bad movie that at least is kind of entertaining and kind of funny, but the laughs are very sporadical because the story is preposterous and the fantasy managed in the film is not well supported. The first half and hour is totally unfunny.
The next 45 minutes are so-so and the ending is awful. Don't tell me that's the way you feel when you're really in love! Meg Ryan and Tim Robbins were a terrible couple that made mathematics and physics look like very cold sciences.
The only rescuable element of the picture was Matthau's nice performance as Albert Einstein, I dare to say that Mr. Matthau finally stopped playing himself and he gave himself completely to take the character's scent.
