Review of Invictus (2009) by Calumw — 22 Feb 2010
This film was one of those films that made you wish, gee, I think that could've been better. However, Eastwood does direct beautifully in the lead up to the Final. Here, I will say only one thing : It doesn't matter if the NZ team had food poisoning, what mattered, was they didn't win on the day.
They acknowledged that. It would be unfair to say that it wasn't a real victory. They lost, and you can't change the past. Fat is fact, and with the wonderful performance by Freeman, I believe Eastwood captures the moment as it was, and forever will be.
