Praised by film critics, Investigation of a citizen above suspicion is in itself a critic of the powers of suppression and repression. Gian Maria Volonte's acting is amazing in the movie, and it may be one of the most original and complex scripts that exist.
For an avid movie fan this is hard to beat.
