Review of Intolerable Cruelty (2003) by Xeni Z — 23 Sep 2010
My Opinion: This movie moved very slowly, up until about 2/3rds in, when it almost zoomed to the conclusion, which didn?t feel like much of a conclusion to me. There were many plot elements introduced at the beginning of the film, which all tied together at the end, but in a very crude way. It seems that the director / writer was at a loss of what to do at the end, and just took the easiest way out.
Otherwise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and George Clooney made an interesting screen-couple. There was always a lot of dynamic between them, although I felt that Clooney?s character was very flat.
Conclusion: It?s an alright view. Don?t go chasing it down, but save it for a rainy Sunday in bed.
