Review of Into the Woods (2014) by Latasha H — 29 Mar 2015
I must give the director kudos for maintaining the integrity of the play. I really wanted to enjoy the movie as much as I loved the play however I thought that many of the actors didn't emit the emotion that draws a viewer into the story and holds them.
Although technically well done many of the songs missed the mark on intonation and depth of feeling . They came across as flat in a semi-monotone sort of way... still it was nice to see the story retold simply because its been years since I last caught a performance of the play.
