Review of Into the Wild (2007) by Jeramie K — 22 Mar 2012
I am not nearly as high on Into the Wild as most are. Sean Penn directed a fine film and we got some visually stunning shots. The script was well written and the acting was above average. The film never compels me to follow the main story arc -- the journey of Christopher McCandless.
It just wasn't nearly as engaging or thought provoking as it thinks it is. Instead, I enjoyed and wanted to see more of all the people McCandless touched and met along the way. I wanted to hear and see more of THEIR stories.
