Review of Into the White (2012) by Tristan M — 11 Apr 2014
Into the White is a fantastic movie of friendship during war. Superbly acted and very moving the will to survive is much more powerful than hate and all the actors involved gave performances that allowed this message to be given load and clear.
The slow pacing of the movie meant that the actors would have to carry the burden of allowing audiences to care about there characters and each one did a fantastic job. The scene of the 4 men on the ledge staring up at the northern stars was cinematic brilliance.
The ending was absurdly frustrating but given that this is a true story I prefer truth to a scripted ending even if I was depressed about how it ended.
