Review of Into the White (2012) by Peter A — 25 Feb 2017
Though based on a true story, I see this as a WWII fantasy. A small group of crashed German and British pilots are forced to survive a blinding Norwegian snowstorm in a small cabin. This becomes fantasy in that the enemies find commonality, understanding and friendship through their hardship and through the realization that war scrapes away a soldier's perception of the complexity of humanity.
