I really wanted to like this movie, especially because I adore the two main actors. Sadly it plays more like a fantasy than a true post-apocalyptic film. Even that's generous because there's so many unbelievable moments it was hard to stay engaged.
Also, Evan Rachel Wood's hair stayed exactly the same for the entire film. I really appreciate when director's take the time to add depth through the small details, yet on this film Patricia Rozema missed by a wide margin.
Not surprised it made a paltry showing at the box office. I rented it for $0.99 and that's probably about what it's worth.
