Review of Into the Blue (2005) by Jack D — 16 Aug 2009
A film starring Paul Walker and Jessica Alba as deep sea divers? Lets be honest, it was never going to be Citizen Kane. However, all pretensions aside, Into the Blue is actually a fun little film. Sure, Walker and Alba have all the charisma and personality of a damp cloth, but when it comes to looking bronzed and toned in skimpy swimwear there's no better pair in Hollywood.
It's probably one of the prettiest films your likely to see, with the aforementioned leading couple, as well as the natural beauty of Barbados plus lots of gorgeous underwater photography. Add to that boat chases, car chases, pirate treasure, crashed planes, shark attacks and a gun in a fish, as well as the always brilliant Josh Brolin and you have a guilty pleasure worthy of your time.
