Review of Into the Abyss (2011) by Hardy H — 04 Mar 2012
Heavy-handed, this film hits you with powerful emotions and makes you tear up almost from the get-go, and never lets up. Lovers of documentary films will definitely appreciate this.
Unfortunately for me, I really would like to get to know the leading two murders to learn a bit more their mindsets; especially Jason Burkett, who remains in denial of his crimes. But I guess Herzog is only given that much time with them. The footage with Michael Perry is definitely the highlights for me.
