Review of Into Great Silence (2005) by Patrick Q — 03 Jun 2007
I would love to see this get a nomination for best cinematography and best documentary. This is truly one of the most beautiful films in recent years both from a cinematography point of view and also as an experience in and of it self, this film isn?t a documentary in the sense that it shows or tells you about its subject but it allows the viewer to experience the subject, it was amazing how close I felt to these monks after watching this, the experience of watching this is hard to explain, its so unlike any other film.
