This commercially appealing vampire film is actually quite dark as well as stylised, making full use of its charismatic cast and the high budget to make it look spectacular. The story chronicles the life of two vampires including the notoriously powerful Lestat.

Jordan's film is a delightfully gothic and highly eroticised vampire chronicle with a good story and great dark atmosphere that can claim its spot among the most charismatic vampire films.
